The whole reason we were down in Jersey in the first place, was the wedding of Susan’s oldest friend, Julia, to her long-time beau, Stewart. It was also a chance for me to put faces to all these names I’ve heard so many things about, and to meet some more of Susan’s family. And, to top it off, it was my first time ever setting foot inside of Temple — AND I DIDN’T BURST INTO FLAMES!

On Saturday, Susan and I trekked into Philadelphia to see the sights, drink in the arts, and inhale a cheese steak. Though Philly may not be an easily-walkable city, we mostly managed and saw a great variety of things. And, for our friend Charles, I got Susan to pose at the top of the stairs at the art museum, just like Rocky, and we sampled a cheese steak from Geno’s. All in all, it was a long, warm, fun daytrip that ended with dinner at Swanky Bubbles. Sadly, we have no pictures from there because we were pooped and busy eating.

Day 1 in Jersey
Susan and I headed down to Jersey to attend the wedding of one of her oldest friends. Of course, air line delays and morning flights mean mimosas to keep the anxiety down. Overall, we made it down in one piece.

Mother’s Day was upon us once more, and “Uncle” Ted flew in to surprise my grandmother, Karen. Out of Asia, wine, mochi, and wonderful weather made for a gorgeous day.

Two of my oldest friends, Tim Donahue and Melissa St. Hilaire, finally got married. Their wedding day was beautiful, filled with love, happiness, and Charles’ lessons on oral hygene.
